v Cycle, Walk or Bus to Church in Honour of Earth Day April 20th
Please consider using transit, walking or cycling to Kits Church this Sunday for the service in honour of Earth Day. Explore new paths, ride through the neighbourhood of Kits, and pray for the people of the neighbourhood as you arrive!
v Words from Mark
"Thanks for your warm welcome to me and your encouragement. Despite the turbulent times you have gone through there is a good feeling about the place and nice mix of people. You have something good going on here. The preaching schedule for the next little while has been crafted to help us all re-story ourselves with the stories of Jesus in Mark's gospel. In turbulent times we can sometimes forget the stories that make us and in some way forget who we are and what we are doing and why we are doing it. I hope you find this time to be one that re-orients us for the adventure ahead. It is not by chance that we are journeying together for the next while. Always feel free to contact me at the church or email me at mark@kitschurch.com. "
v Recycling - Youth Event – Friday April 16th
Please join Bobbi for a Recycling evening, sorting the precious bottles and cans that are so quickly adding up to our fundraising goal in support of God’s House of Many Faces.
We are still in search of a cook for Friday night...nothing fancy required, just some sustenance for our hard working youth and their helpers!
Please continue to bring your recyclables to the church or the cash you receive from returning your own recyclables in an envelope marked with your name (if tax receipt desired) & “recycling program” to have it added to our project funds! Thanks all!
v Dedicating the Pine & 16th Community Garden
Please meet in the Garden at the end of the service on Sunday April 18th (before you grab coffee and a cookie) as we briefly gather to pray a blessing for the growing season of our community garden, so ably stewarded by Tracy Parker and her team. Join us in support of this important neighbourhood initiative.
If you are particularly artistic, we are looking for an attractive weatherproof sign for our garden. If you can help out with this small project, please email tracyhugstrees@yahoo.com
v Pre-K/K Class Teachers – An answer to prayer!
Bobbi sends her thanks out to the people who responded to her plea for Pre-K/K Class Teachers for Sunday school. If you haven’t had a chance to let Bobbi know you are interested, there is still an opportunity to be a part of this wonderful class, so email her at bobbi@kitschurch.com
v Newest Kits Baby Arrives April 13, 2010
Ryan and Elisabeth and Isaac welcomed Eleanor Sartor into ther family on Tuesday April 13th. All members of the family are well. Please pray for Eleanor, as she adapts to life outside the womb, Isaac as he adapts to life with a new sister, and Ryan and Elisabeth as they adapt to life as a family of four!
