* Commissioning Sunday for Regent College Students – This Sunday!
Over the past several years, Kits has been blessed with a group of Regent College students who are now finishing their studies and moving on into the next chapters of their lives – most far from our community here at Kits. Please join us this Sunday as we support them in this next phase of their lives and thank them for their key contributions to Kits over the past years.

* Kits 101 Class
Are you new at Kits? Or have you been here a while and are ready to make Kits your church home? Well, we aren't just a pretty face at the 9:20 am service - there's a lot more meat and potatoes to us! Want to find out? Come as you are... and join us for a time for discussion and a light lunch on Sunday June 6th at 11:00 am (right after the service) before heading off to the Laws’ send off. Find out more about Kits, our beliefs, vision, and how we live together as a community of Christ followers. This class will provide both a welcome to new faces and the first step in membership for those interested. Please sign up on the clipboard in the next few weeks or let Jan in the office know.

* Summer & Fall Sunday School Preparations – We need you!
Please carefully consider how you can support our Kids at Kits this summer and into the fall.
We are seeking ...
o Volunteers to teach the young ones (ages 2 - 5) and the older ones (grades 1-7) through the months of July and August. Consider committing for more than one week in a row to help the most and get the most out of your experience.
o Coordinators in the fall to organize teaching schedules.
o Teachers for all of our classes: 2 and 3 year olds, Pre K/K,
grades 1-3, grades 4-7.
If you can participate in any of these wonderful opportunities to partner with families and our church in the spiritual and total formation of our children, please be in touch with Bobbi at bobbiatkitschurch.com.

* Bobbi’s Time Away is Coming
Please note these Bobbi details: I will be away on retreat and vacation in the UK from May 18 - June 9. You can contact Jenn Milley, the Council Liaison for Children, Youth, and Families, in her absence.

* Who is Mark Fox anyway?
Mark is currently our interim minister, but he has had an eclectic career including 12 years at UBC as a software developer/manager in the computer networking area, 10 years on staff at Olive Baptist Church, 7 years as a remote software developed for Silicon Valley companies, almost a year as a chaplain at Royal Columbian Hosptial before Fraser Health decided to terminate Spiritual Care in their Acute Care Sites. Mark has two graduate degrees – one in Computer Science and one in Theology.

Happily married to Shirley – a Grade 2 teacher, he has three adult children – Lindsey 26, Caleb 24, and Emma 21. Born in India he returned there roughly 10 years ago and taught at the school Jan Bingham had attended as a child.

If you want to know more about him, we suggest you might want to ask him about “trees, ducks, sailing, and
applications for smart phones”! We are so very glad Mark has joined us.
