The Shape of today's message: Can you imagine how Abraham felt when God instructed him to do the unthinkable and sacrifice his beloved son? In a moment, all God's promises to him were on the line. And God's command contradicted all he knew about God. And yet Abraham did not waver. How do we explain this? And if we faced a similar test, how would we fare? There is more to this account than meets the eye It is inspiring and it is instructive. And it is encouraging. Even believing Abraham had had his doubts. But he had grown in faith and so can we.
