00:00-02:42 Scripture, Luke 2:22-40
02:45-29:10 Sermon, Ellis Andre.
If Joseph was devastated when his fiancee told him she was expecting a baby out of wedlock, how do you think she felt when he wouldn't believe her account of what had happened? Mary's story is an amazing one, full of spiritual elation and emotional trauma. And we Protestants often do her a disservice in reaction to some extravagant claims that have been made on her behalf. But she was a remarkable woman. Her godly compliance and quiet discretion were essential to the mission of the Messiah. She is probably the greatest witness to the true identity of her Son.
As we consider her perspective on the events that changed the world, we see that she, more than anyone else, points away from herself to our Saviour.
